Yea, I agree. I would go R888.....actually I should say I am going R888. We are using the NT05 for the Supra now and it's a good tire but I'm anticipating much better results from the R888.

I am looking at buying 2 Nitto NT05's for the rear. I have to keep the tread ware above 150 or I will be put into a higher bracket when doing heads up racing at my events here...

I'm thinking this is the best tire out there for the tread ware rating required... Unless someone knows something better....

Remember, 150+ tread ware rating.
What size tire are you thinking of going with? Reason I ask is if they are taller than stock you'll be slower and too short and you'll end up with extra shifts and still be slower. 245\40\18's are ideal.

The r888 tread rating is only 100. HAS TO BE 150 MINIMUM.

I will go with whatever size works best cayman, suggestions on a certain brand that's over 150 tread?

The Nitto NT05 do come in the right size that you suggested... *245/40R18 97W. Its rated to 50PSI, what PSI would you suggest for quarter mile? 30-35, 35-40?

Personally I run 36psi and go down from there if needed.

Super excited!
