That is a great article. I couldn't agree with the author more.

Great article Lou. Thanks for posting it. I feel great driving such a rare and special car. A car that history will remember as something truly special......an "outlier", a spark to ignite a massive change at Lexus and Toyota as a whole

I wonder if he's right, and the IS F will be a future collectable. I don't see why not - it's got performance, provenance, and relative rarity.

Couple that with reliability and relatively low maintanance costs and I see no reason why not! First of what I think we all hope will be a great future for the f brand.

Love this -

'But we'll see. The successor to the IS F, based on the current, third-generation IS, is expected next year. Among the major carry-over parts will be the magnificent 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8...'

I got a kick out of this.
"This engine's a screamer, an opera star with emotional issues"

Good to see these articles surfacing as the ISF ends it's run. It's a noble finish and great to see that the ISFs going to have a prestigious history in the eyes of the automotive world.

Great piece, mandatory reading. A printed copy should be in every IS-F glovebox. Do yourselves a favor and click Save As on the Adobe reader, put this on your hard drive.

Well written and I agreed with a lot that he wrote...I especially like this part of the article (hihglighted) as I am banking on this car becoming collectable and iconic based on the fact that it was the debut project for Lexus to get things going on the peformance side.

That's the reason I took the article from the link, saved it into Microsoft Word, and then formatted it with Adobe Acrobat, so you guys could save it as a PDF document.
