I have searched and can not decide which is the better option as for a drop in air filter, seen some say that the stock( paper filter is best)....I just find this hard to believe, I was looking at a couple of aFe air filters, one is the blue one( I think its an oiled one) and a grey one( which I think is a dry one)...I only have used K&N filters before, so I don't know much about these aFe filters, can I have some of you guys opinions on this...thanks in advance!

I personally have the aFe dry filter and it does its job. AFe's filters are reusable which is the advantage over the stock filter. Over the years all intake systems have been tested and the best combo has always been found to be the Joe Z or HPS pipe with the stock air filter. You will not be able to notice any HP gains whatsoever from simply the intake system. If you want sound, go for the short ram intake systems. The Takeda intake seems to be the best of both worlds, you get the cone intake while using the stock airbox.

i ran the stock filter for a couple years and just switched to the AFE dry. car performs just the same and gas mileage seems slightly better. (probably bc my previous OEM was quite dirty.) i also came from K&Ns for my previous rides but saw some of the horror stories associated w/ them for the F. plus, a lot of people on the forum seem to run the AFE, so, i switched. plus, it was cheaper than OEM on amazon!
