Thanks for the pics. I think there might be a work around to get the cutoff line to blue up without the spacers. Won't be until later I can play with one of my spare 2IS projectors.

When you figure it out, please tell us. I am really interested in this since I plan on putting in the clear lenses and painting my housing.

You can shim the housing. It bolts together so just chuck some washer between them. I just didn't feel like goin that far. Took me hours on the first one analyzing everything. Literally the second light took me 15 minutes start to finish with the oven cook lol.

200 for 10 minutes and you can pull it apart pretty easily. Just use door panel bone tools to spread em and then rip em apart by hand. I spent a good amount of time just looking over the lights for personal info. There's more room for improvement but I'm fine with the current result.

do you have any recommendations for cleaning the inside of the oem headlight lense ? I got moisture into mine which left water spots all over, and some yellowish residue at the bottom of the housing.. not really noticeable but to me so I may attempt the disassemble one day.

I used an alcohol wipe and it left a bad residue. So I cleaned it it up with regular glass cleaner and a microfiber. Seemed to do the trick.

Long overdue but got pics lol. Totally forgot about this thread. Don't know about the tuning on them because had a local shop retro them. Car is about 20 ft. from the wall.

Agree with the above. It's the best you are gonna achieve with this projector.

When life hands you potatoes, you make a potato salad. In this case Lexus handed us a pile of **** projector. So make a **** salad and grab some CBI's and clear lenses.

Looks pretty good to me. Definitely better than stock.

Agreed, looks good to me!

Already have the CBI's, good to know that the clear lenses make a difference as well!

very nice. Good to see simple tuning can make such an improvement. perhaps you can ask your retro shop on what they did to achieve the colored cutoff? maybe its a secret?? lol
