Have you considered trading the ISF for American muscle?
#61
Sure I have.
Owned two GTOs (2004 and 2006).
Took a look at a ZL1, it was very impressive, but the interior sucks, the view from the inside to outside is horrid..felt like I was in the bottom of a well. Impressive cars though.
The GT500 is not a track car, and neither is the Hellcat.
There is more to a car than horsepower/torque.
If you think our IS-F is heavy..have fun with these guys.

I want the 03 cobra. That's been my dream car for a long time. Hopefully I can get one within the next couple of years

The interiors have improved but I'm not sure from a reliability perspective. Here's a nearly 100-page thread on identified issues on the brand new C7: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...ns-thread.html
I don't think I'd have peace of mind purchasing any GM performance car knowing there are issues on vehicles straight off the lot.

I'm seriously considering selling the F and moving over to a CTS-V wagon. I'm part of the Toyota move to TX and would like to have the extra hauling capability. Plus I've always been a wagon guy.

My friend has a 2012 CTS-V wagon its a pretty cool car and its fast especially after he did headers, pullys and a tune.
I think american manufacturers are obviously learning that customers want the interior features and quality so they are actually IMO doing a Very nice job on keeping up with market expectations.
I would never not consider an american car because of interior qualities these days

Well, I have been cross shopping different vehicles for the last few days and I have mostly come to the conclusion that selling my 2008 ISF and 2014 Ram 1500 in favor of a 2015 Corvette Z51 and 20XX WRX sounds like a great idea. I took a look at the new M4 and was impressed with many aspects except the recent BMW reliability and the performance potential of the 3.0l TT. While waiting for the C63 AMG or Cadillac equivalent is appealing, the C7 has so much potential for less money.
I took the ISF out today and like usual drove around pretty hard with all nannies off except the pedal dance. I love the ISF, but I feel that the OS Gikken LSD is the only thing that will make it more palatable for spirited driving. I can't put power to the ground out of a corner whatsoever and it is frustrating. This vehicle is awesome in so many ways and Lexus fixed most of the issues over the years (except tuning), but I think I am yearning to step into the big leagues.
p.s. I have stayed away from Corvettes for a long time now because of the type of drivers I usually see driving them. For some reason I feel differently regarding the C7. I am not a fan of the new tail lights, but love everything else. I think that with dark grey paint, black wheels, and smoked tail lights it will be up to my stealthy standards. Also, who can complain with 460 hp, 3400 lbs, 7 spd manual, nice LSD, exotic look, great MPG, etc. I'm guessing with headers and a tune, you are at 500 bhp easy.

Has anyone owned both a CTS-V (09+) and an ISF? Can anyone compare the two cars? The power of the CTS-V's are really starting to interest me. Not to mention they look awesome as well (IMO)

I test drove a CTS-V and it's awesome. Def needs an exhaust cause it's kind of quiet but the torque is sick. I'm waiting for a black diamond colored sedan to pop up in my area then I'm gonna hopefully be able to work a deal on it. That black diamond with the dark wheels and yellow brake calipers is so sweet looking.

american muscle was what got me into the ISF. thank God there was japanese muscle option, my friends were getting on me about how awkward an asian guy would look in the CTSV, gt500 or z06. although i still look at the ctsv and z06.
