Navigation not finding addresses
Hey everyone, have had my 08 for about two months now. Absolutely in love with the car, makes the daily commute a lot more fun! Only thing that annoys me is the navigation, seems like when I input an address it is at best a 50/50 shot as to whether or not it will actually be there for me to set the guidance to.
I have never witnessed such an issue in other cars, these roads have been around for quite awhile so it's not as if they are new and therefore wouldn't be in the guidance. Anyone have any ideas or is this just a known shortfall?

Truth! I found the NAV in my 08 is virtually useless. Near impossible to navigate using it...better off using your smart phone. My 06 Infiniti's NAV is 100% better surprisingly

The trick with the old nav is to input the city, street, and number in that order. If you try it number, street, city, it almost always has some heartburn. And let's not even get started on the pain of trying to set a destination by voice...

Lexus could learn a lot from Infiniti on how to make a quality nav and stereo system. We all know what garbage the ML system is in our cars so no need to go into detail. My buddy's M56 Infiniti is around the same year as my F and his nav and Bose system are light years better than mine.

ISF navs are made by Eclipse which is part of Fujutsu. As the OP stated it's a 50/50 shot weather it will get you there. In my BMW I have an Eclipse AVN 6600 (2003/2004 model). It is superior in so many ways. The downside is that Eclipse stopped making map discs as of 2010 as they withdrew from the aftermarket scene. More often than not I use the voice command on my 3 yr old smart phone to get me there.
