this is a stupid argument. it is sagging and i can pull it up to where it should be. this just happened last week, it wasnt like this the week prior. and if you look at the pics i provided you can clearly see the difference from the wheel well to the corner of the bumper cover. it is obviously a common problem and the cracks are the very problem to cause this sagging, cause when i pulled the bumper cover up the gap in the cracks magically went away.

I have the same as you, and have noticed it on almost all IS F's I see.

I have no issues with my retaining nuts, cracks or bending, and still have the sagging.

I have no solutions for it that I can see, as the retaining clips are also tight.on the sides.

Living with the imperfection, as no one notices. I though maybe my Wald diffuser was causing excess weight, so glad to know its not that.

I noticed mine last year when I took off the rear bumper to do a wrap around the diffuser area and have the exhaust tips powder coated. At first I thought I screwed up somehow reinstalling the bumper, but going over everything I couldn't find any mistakes and then looking at others' cars I noticed most were the same way. I'm pretty OCD about these small details but it isn't hardly noticeable and it didn't take long for me to completely forget about it...until this thread!

Any word about Lexus fixing these rear bumpers?

Mine had the sag and I verified the rear bolt mounts under the trunk was cracked.

Well,my bumper ripped off while I was driving on the highway.

No, you wouldn't even notice as the driver that your bumper has flown off.

There is pretty much no fix. If the tabs are still on then you might try rebuilding them. otherwise you have to buy a new bumper. Mine is sagging on one side and I am going to try something soon.

Mine are messed up also. I'm thinking of glueing some sort of bracket on the help hold it up. Worst case, I'll just buy a new bumper.

What year ISF's is this happening too. Just the older ones, or newer ones as well?

It usually will not happen to any of them unless you start messing with the rear bumper. If you have through bumper exhaust tips, if those sag down and rest on the opening, that will cause the bumper to sag over time also. The side edge that locks the bumper into the clips on the car is extremely thin.

Good to know, now just because I have OCD as well, I'll need to check mine for cracks 😂

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but as all ISFs are now "aged," issue might need to be revisited....

Anyone know exactly what needs to be ordered to fix the ISF rear bumper sag? Will assume and 2008 - 2014 ISFs use the same part numbers.

Some state tabs on the bumper cover itself are broken, some state the bumper support bracket/rails....
On this site, shows parts for the rear bumper, but could anyone provide insight, as to the exact part numbers to fix the ISF's rear bumper sag?

https://www.mylparts.com/v-2008-lexu...omponents-rear

Thanks for anyone's input.

I think that depends on the condition. The bumper tabs could be broken or streched, any maybe the supports (12 &13 in the diagram) as well. Plastic deforms over time. Pop the 2 square covers (6) and look at the brackets, chances are they are deformed & possibly broken-they were broken on my 09, not from an accident. Best to remove the bumper and examine it.

I’ve seen advertisements for a company that now makes a replacement metal bumper bracket. Here is a link to the company making them, but I have not personally tried them.

My car is an original 2008. It has no gaps. I've never removed the front or rear bumper covers, but I know for sure the front has been removed as a result of an incident with a moron.
