Guys, I just installed the Borla exhaust yesterday, and I am very pleased with the sound and pick-up of the car!!

Can somebody chime in with the exhaust and answer a couple questions for me:

1. My driver side pipe the one that connects to the muffler section didn't have an exhaust hanger? I had one on the passenger side but not the drivers side??

2. So consequently the drivers side hangs down more than the passenger side because it's supported by the exhaust hangar on that side. Is that normal with the Borla?

3. When you look at the exhaust from the rear the drivers side exhaust tips look angled up like there is pressure from nothing supporting that back end?

I hope I didn't screw anything up on the install (Newbie) but would like some feed back if possible?

I'll upload some pics here in a sec

You can see the exhaust hanging down compared to the passenger side

See the angle of the exhaust

IIRC, I had the same issue when my buddies did the install. They managed to "twist 'the left pipe up a bit, then held it in place with a jack and clamped it up.

Ok, I'm going to have to put the car on a lift again and see if I can tweak it a bit.

I'm taking that yours doesn't hang low like mine??

Also to clarify there is no hangar on the drivers side pipe towards the back on the Borla right?

Correct, there's no hanger on that side. You have to release the clamps push it up, make sure it lines up with the diffusers and then tighten it up.

yep mine was like that too on the driver side you just have to maneuver it around for best fitment, side no mount either while the passenger side had one.

Yep, no hanger on the diver side. when you're done tweaking the pipes it will rise up some.

^^^^Thx guys! I thought for a second I did something wrong. I have to bend back the heat shielding by the resonator because it's rattling a little bit, so at the same time I'll readjust/loosen the clamp and tweak the pipe and muffler a little bit.

same issue with mine when I first installed, I just loosened up the clamps and pushed the pipes around until it was level.

Sounds like a common issue with the Borla, glad mine wasn't defective or something! I'll readjust the pipes until they are level.

Thx

I recently Picked up an 08 IS-F two weeks ago. In saying that, I ordered the CarTreats 3" midpipe and found a good deal on some used rear Borla Mufflers that someone was parting with from the kit. Ill be putting everything on the car hopefully next week when I get some time and will give some feedback to add to the thread. Ill most likely have the rear section (axle back portion Fabbed) or I may leave it as it.. not sure yet.
