I just picked this up for the battery. Anyone ever use this particular charger?

Yeah used to have one of these. I didn't like it much because it would always get really hot in my wall outlet from constantly charging, I was afraid it was going to torch my house. I have a really nice one that I got from a motorcycle shop that charges and stops charging once it maintains full voltage. I forget the brand. its in the shop not near me at the moment

Mines in the garage for the winter...

I used that charger on my Datsun Z when I stored it for winter. It was plugged in outside in freezing weather for 5 months. No problems. Battery was fully charged when I started the car in spring.
In the box it also comes with a second connector with ring terminals so that you can hard wire it to your car, for simple plug/un plug
