My guy used regular semi-gloss black paint, a lot of guys do a matte black for even more contrast, but its definitely awesome either way, I've seen both in person. I don't believe he did any clear over it, I think the paint he uses has clear mixed into it but I could be wrong. As for the sealant, theres actually OEM sealant you can buy from the Nissan parts department. Its a black silicone that they use from the factory to seal it. Its like $40 a tube though, but its good stuff. I'm not sure if Lexus has it available for sale, the guy that did mine does a bunch of Nissans and Infiniti's .

@ISFPat - did you purchase the black grille from Sewell or did you go the DIY route with some PlastiDip? I like the black/chrome (emblem) combo on yours. My car is USB and I've been debating since purchasing a lip whether or not to black out the front emblem & grille or just, just to the grille or leave it all alone haha. Decisions, decisions right

@RedlineAZ and @LOLM3 - both of your cars lock SICK!!! Redline, you're a brave man to crack the housing on your F's lights. I realize it's not as scary as some ppl might think but I'm always on the fence anytime I do anything to my car simply bc of the value of it and cost associated with replacement parts haha. Cheers to you though bc the end result looks ****! LOLM3 - without having seen it I probably wouldn't have agreed but I like it, almost looks exotic...and one of the last pics you posted (the one with the wheel off) looks magazine worthy Very nice guys!

I did this in '98 on my Supra's original headlights. No paint, just fixing some moisture condensation issues. It's not nearly as scary as some people make it sound.
