i get mail all the time from my dealers as well. you have to ask yourself, why would they give you a call now? its because you know them on a more personal level and the RCF is being released. good chance of an ISF owner buying the RCF. ive been in car sales enough to know whats going on here.

no offense, but no buyer is going to be looking for a modified ISF . its easy to find ISF under 50k miles in the US somewhere. a stock one at that.

If they are pursuing YOUR car, then do not wait for them to "make you an offer" for your car. This is your upper hand. You pick the price. If they don't meet it within reason, then apparently they don't want it "that bad".

Don't let someone talk you down about your own car. If someone wants it bad enough, they will pay YOUR price for it.

I get these letters every few months from Chevy dealers, Honda dealers, and any other marque I've ever owned. As others have said, this is a standard ploy to get you to come in to the stealership so they can work their magic on you.

If you really want an honest appraisal, take your car to Carmax. They'll give you a written offer good for 5 days. Then, if you're bored, go on in to the stealership who sent you the letter (without telling them you already have an offer) and see how competitive their offer actually is.

In 2012, when I traded my first ISF in, the best offer didn't come from Lexus. This last May, when I traded my second ISF in, the best offer didn't come from Lexus of North Miami nor JM Lexus (the two biggest Lexus dealers in South Florida), it came from BMW. I was dissapointed at Lexus, especially because I walked into the dealership with one of those letters.

Sales guy at my dealer asked if I wanted to trade my F in on an RC-F. I told him I need 4 doors right now but even if I didn't I can't see giving $40k on top of my F for an RC-F. If I didn't own an F then maybe the RC-F would just blow me away but def wouldn't trade my F in towards one.
