Cooling fan recall
#136
My dealership did the gas pedal, windshield wiper nut, and inner trunk release lever recall when I took my car in for an alignment.... didn't realize they'd perform the recalls w/o asking or at least letting me know beforehand. I was hoping to avoid the gas pedal recall too....

My SA and I went over the available recalls, since I chose not to go in for any of them individually. I declined the gas pedal one, and he made a note of that. We needed to make a visit to the dealer to have some warranty work done before it expired. While I had hoped the fuel recall would've been ready for remedy, I just ended up getting the majority of the recalls done all at once.

Hello I have a 2003 LS 430 and the radiator fan activates normally when the needle goes to the middle but NOW it won't stop until I turn off the car. Is it the relay or the temp control module? Please help. Thanks.

think youd be better off asking on the LS forums!

My car just came out of the dealership with a brand new Gauge Cluster...
Took approx 6 days with a weekend thrown in there..
I declined all open Service Bulletins on this visit..

Whyd you end up getting a new gauge cluster?

Good news is that my NEW cluster had an Inspected & Manufactured date of 1/2015, so I am hoping they got this one right this time around..
Besides my secondary cooling fan failure, this was the only time my car actually went to the dealership for a warranty service.

Guys after reading this thread on recalls, I was curious what the whole deal is with the gas pedal recall and why don't some guys want it done?? Also what MY's did it affect?

Lexus Models involved in the pedal entrapment recall:
Certain 2006 – 2010 IS Vehicles
Although an owner might never experience its operation, this braking system enhancement will automatically reduce engine power when the brake pedal and accelerator pedal are applied simultaneously under certain driving conditions.
The Brake Override System operates when these conditions are met:
a) The throttle opening is greater than 1/3
b) Vehicle speed is above 5 mph
c) Brakes are applied firmly
d) The accelerator pedal is applied before the brake pedal

Aw.... Ok so if you track the car apparently you don't want this recall done correct?
