Default I test drove an ISF yesterday for the first time and WOW!

I've been lurking on the clublexus ISF forum for a few months now and finally went to check out a local ISF. I have yet to see one in person until yesterday and I must say pictures don't do any justice to this car. It is STUNNING in person, inside and out. Anyways, I went to check out the ISF only hoping to see one in person, sit in it, get a feel for it. A young salesman my age (25) saw me looking at the car and asked me if I wanted to take it for a test drive. I brought my mom along with me because her ES 350 just passed 100k and she's in the market for a new Lexus. We all get in the car for the test drive and the first thing I notice is how "quiet" the car is on start-up. I was expecting it to be a little louder, but it gets better. After 3 minutes of traffic we get to an open section of road and the salesman tells me to "open her up", it lags for a few seconds and BAM it seemed as if a rocket just went off. The acceleration was incredible!! Literally no lag between shifts . I completely forgot about my mom in the back seat with her neck brace on. HAHA! This car is a MONSTER!!

Unfortunately I did not take the car home with me (not the right color), but now I am 100% sure about my next car purchase. I'll be in the market for one in the next few months. It will be a big upgrade from my 2002 Volkswagen GTI 1.8t with bolt on mods. I will miss hearing the sound of the turbo spooling up, but it'll be well worth it. I love coming to this forum to see what you guys are doing to your cars. If you have a 2011+ ISF with low miles (and hopefully a red interior) for sell in the next few months I might be the next owner!

In fairness he was only 18 when the ISF came out!

I'm now about to turn 35, and only got mine a year ago! Lol.

Main thing is you now know just how incredible these cars really are.

Good luck tracking down the right one for you mate.

That is a good price on that car, low miles too. Maybe the SGM color is holding it back, not the fav color of the F guys.

The IS F does have that wow factor that isn't seen on many of the Lexus vehicles. It's an all around sport sedan with plenty of luxuries and sporty features. Best of luck in your search. There were a few 2011+ that came up on searches a few days back...

Also, check the vehicle classifieds here. There are some that pop up from time to time.

Really?! SGM is one of the most popular colours over here in the UK!

Surprises me.

@PDP, I like the SGM color. When I was first shopping for an F it seemed like the SGM cars always sat at dealers the longest. Couldn't imagine the cost of filling up the F in England. U should post a pic of the gas pump when u fill it next time.

Fair enough.

Lol at the filling up comment.

Think the most I've put in mine in one fill was around £95. That's around $150!

Not cheap, but less than I used to spend when I had my 700HP single turbo Supra! Lol.

Think that did 4 MPG on one occasion!

LOL, and i thought my ~7-9MPG at VIR a couple of months ago was poor! I must not be pushing the car hard enough (OK, I know I am not!).

My 2012 has averaged almost 20mpg for 19k miles with two track weekends. Almost all city driving.
