apexi smart accel question...
I read on the manual it says while on boost mode or hi-throttle mode...it will go back to "normal" mode once the accelerator is fully open.
Does this mean if i was using the "boost" mode (red) on the track, after flooring the pedal,it will return to normal, then i have to select "boost" mode again?
Or it stays on "boost" mode all the time unless you turn the unit off?

You will not lose red mode unless you manually change the setting (push the button up or down), hold the button down (turns the controller off), or switch off the engine.
It will stay in red mode otherwise.
It will also remember the last mode you used when you turn it back on.
Hope this helps.

Glad to help.
As Stu mentioned, the controller only affects pedal response.
Red mode basically cuts the amount of force/pedal travel down by around half.
You will get faster response, with less effort.
I'm enjoying it as a middle ground between normal and sport mode.
The button is also a lot easier to reach than the sport mode button on my 2008 model.
It's certainly a nice mod for minimal outlay.
Just make sure you buy the ISF specific harness to go with the throttle controller.

Hey guys, i just got my apexi throttle controller today and will install it soon, this thing has so many modes, which mode is the 1:1 feel? For me the 1:1 is the cable type accelerator
Thanks

Glad to hear you got your controller.
Not quite sure what you mean by 1:1 mode?
The OEM setting would be achieved by having the unit switched off completely (hold down the bottom button till the lit Apexi logo goes off).
The other modes/colours are as follows:
Eco mode 1 - white
Eco mode 2 - light blue
Eco mode 3 - dark blue
Low throttle - green
Boost 1 - yellow
Boost 2 - purple
High throttle - red
I only really use the boost and high throttle modes.
For normal driving, I have the unit switched off (this will happen automatically when you start the car for the first time. The unit will only operate if you switch it on).
Think of it like you do the sports mode (off until you want to use it).
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Got it installed today and calibrated it, seemed like i calibrated it correctly because the unit stopped blinking white...then all the colors seems like they're functioning....but does the throttle controller LED (on the mode you are using) really blink everytime you will step on the accelerator?

It just stays the colour of the mode I am in from memory.
