My brother bought a 2012 and he's jealous of the radar detector I hardwired to the mirror in my 08.

Only problem is the wires from the mirror itself (after removing it) are different colors than my 08. I've been searching threads for a long time and I can't find info on the 12volt switched power wire and the ground wire in a 2012. The wires are also different than the colors in the 2011.

The colors from his mirror are brown, yellow, grey and peach. There is a fifth wire behind the first 4 which is green.

Help please!!

The 2010 - 2012 mirrors are the same

The 2012 has neither a black nor a black & white wire.

This is on my 2012 the black wire is the power wire and the white wire is the ground. the easiest way is the bottom left is the power and right next to it on the right is the ground wire.

Thanks, Frank. Will have to pull his again and look from the car side of the harness (not the mirror). Or his has different wire colors, which seems unlikely...

Frank - Would you know which connectors/pigtails you used to jump off your mirror harness in your pics to avoid cutting and soldering? The 2012 mirror woring harness leaves zero slack or room for error, as I'm sure you're well aware.

No problem guys glad I could help that's what we are all here for.

This is the exact one I ordered I have an Escort 8500 the pig tails on the harness I bought will fit nice and snug after they are pushed into the harness.
