Carbon Fiber intake - is it worth it?
Saw this on eBay. I've read many intake threads. This replaces the mid section and keeps the stock air box.

I did try just a K&N drop in air filter before and didn't like it, so I am stock right now.

NO!!!!!!!!
Do not buy this intake pipe PLEASE!!
Take a look at my car (have a thread on here 'my ISF from across the pond').
I love carbon fibre. I was super excited when I found this intake.
Cost me $200 odd, and I couldn't wait to get it from my buddy in Houston when he visited.
Took off my Takeda, fitted the K&N filter, fitted a replacement section of the airbox I had to source from Canada, then tried fitting the new carbon intake pipe.
The first thing I noticed was the bore of the new pipe was larger than the throttle body on the intake (literally went completely over the opening). Not ideal, but I carried on trying to install it anyway.
Next issue, the silicone couplings wouldn't fit with the pipe (was too long to attach properly).
Posted that on here, to find others had found the same issue, but decided to hack up the silicone couplings to make it fit!
Call me old fashioned, but if I spend more than $200 on something, I don't expect to chop it about to make it work!
You also won't get a good seal with the pipe being larger than the throttle body/airbox pipe.
Please trust me on this, I wouldn't even sell mine to another owner to recoup some of the cash I lost. It's that bad!
Buy the HPS silicone intake FIGS and others sell. It's a perfect fit, flows better than stock, and looks lovely when mated with the matching radiator hoses.
I know some on here are happy with their carbon intake pipes. Ultimately it's your car, and your choice. I just wanted to let you know my thoughts before you decide.
Hope this helps.

Called HPS, since the ad says it's for 08 through 12 ISF's. Guy said they never confirmed it fits a 2013, so he can't guarantee it.
Being the engine never changed, do you see any issues with this for a 2013?

Nothing to do when you're home with the flu like ordering car parts!

The 08-14 engine configurations are exactly the same, you'll be fine. I had this intake a while back and the couplers weren't perfect but they fit well enough.
And the shop that makes this cf arm is local to me, just contact them if you have fitment issues and they should take care of you. They also make parts for some higher end cars like BMW, Porsche, Maserati, etc.
