I have buckets in my boosted is250, and love them over the 2IS stock seats. Don't mind the airbag light

I have had an air bag go off, my drive shaft broke and hit the shock sensor. The air bags deployed but I sit far enough back it didn't hit me. i went into shock so I don't think it hit me but honestly I don't recall much but I had no injuries. Like I said it wasn't an accident so I had no forward momentum when it went off which most people will have.

I've been tracking quite a lot with my F and I'm thinking of getting a Recaro seat since the OEM seat makes me slide too much on corners...
However, I found out that there's a problem with the airbags... since one of the airbags was located in the seat, the dash airbag light will be on when I take off the OEM seat & I heard that all of the other airbags won't be working either?
Is there anyway to solve the problem? Anyone knows if there is an aftermarket ecu or something like that in order to trick/fool the computer?
Please help me out

The solution was to buy 3.3 ohm resistors, solder them to a wire and then connect the ends to the side airbag connector, that closed the loop and tricked the computer to think the airbags were still present.
You may be able to do the same thing, but I don't know the resistance value in this case.
Hope that helps.

I did this mod on my 2004 Subaru WRX STi. There were side airbags built into the OEM seats.

Andy, in the interim consider getting one of these locks. They'll help secure you tighter in your seat with the OEM seats and belts.

The airbags are not that bad, just disable them and you are done. M3 owners replace their seats all the time and the technology is all similar. However I have never seen an IS-F with aftermarket seats oddly

I am not sure if they were specific to the Subaru or not. I have a feeling one could measure the circuit's resistance with a digital multimeter, but I'm not an expert on this.

There is nothing special about resistors. It's pretty simple to buy the requisite connectors, pigtails and some 1/4w resistors to fab what you need to do this. Emulating the pressure mat in the passenger's seat is a bit more tricky, but still possible. I won't spend time with this only because I would remove the whole thing, not try to fool it into being partially operational. None of this is challenging electronics at all. An O2 sim for Lexus is difficult. Fooling the SRS ECU is not.
