Default Need help with key fob!

Hey guys, i just got a wrecked Lexus IS-F, and its coming from Texas on a car hauler ( i live in PA) ,unfortunately the car does not have keys( AND I NEED A KEY TO GET IT OFF THE TRUCK), so my friend is a dealer and ordered me one at the dealer through my VIN, now the question is, do you know if keys from the dealer that were made for the right VIN will work right away or how it works? this is how my key looks like, and there is no key blade

Pretty sure you will need a Lexus dealer (technician) to program that key fob with the onboard computer in your IS F - they'll need to be matched up. The VIN is useful for getting a key blade (mechanical key) pre-cut to match the door locks, but the electronic fob itself needs to be programmed along with the car... so I suspect that fob as-is won't do anything with your IS F until you get them both to a dealer. You may want to plan on a tow I would think, unless your dealer-friend can bring along a Lexus technician setup for programming the fob with the car, on the trailer...

Good luck,
- Kirk
