i'll be buying new pads soon and am deciding between OE pads or these textar ones.
I have not, I just put my summer wheels back on and flushed the braking system and my OEM front pads have about 6k more miles I can get out of them....

I installed a set of these on the front with new Baer rotors. They look, bite and perform exactly like stock Lexus pads.

Do they dust like OEM Jurid pads as well?

Yes, they dust just like the OEM pads. I have accepted the dusting. Performance ceramic pads to me, just seem to be a compromise in bite and high speed energy shedding that I feel reduces the enjoyment of a sports car.

I've been running Jurid for quite awhile. Would be nice if it were better, but I am not terribly unhappy with dust vs. performance of the OEM setup.

Finally put these pads on last night and took it on a ride today.

My front pads lasted me 32k miles...they were right at the wear indicators.

They seem to have OEM feel and dusting to me....

Just purchased the front set of Brembo's with the Textar pads.
They did not come with any grease - Hoping to see what the results will be without using the Brembo branded grease ..
Going to try the Permatex ceramic Extreme brake lubricant - will see if I get the horrible brake squeak.
Apparently off the GTR forums they also have noisy brakes and many people used this grease with excellent results ...

The backing plate is obviously not identical to OEM stuff - hopefully the performance / pad material is identical.

Putting them on this week.

Default Textar brake pads identical to Brembo?

^^ Do the rotors look to be identical to your original OEMs?

I also bought these pads and use them -- I find them to be the same as the OEM from a stopping and braking ability. Quieter than what I replaced, although that may decrease with time and wear.

Has anyone here checked out www.rockauto.com ? I bought alot of parts off that site for other cars, but nothing for the ISF.
Looking at their prices for brakes, they seem to be pretty cheap, they carry Brembo blank front rotors for $62 each! They carry a few other brands as well, some cheaper some alot more...maybe worth to consider..

Their brake pads for the front go for $68 from StopTech, and $49 for the rear set.

I have to comment that the brembo rotors are great!

this is bar far a better option than oem for the price.

has proper coatings so rust does not exist.
perhaps it does have the so called UV coated process.

however the textar pads are definitely not identical in terms of physical features to the oem.
the backing plate does not have the surface finish as the oem brake pads.
it has a slot through the centre and a round cut out.

however daily driving stopping seems great and perhaps the same.

I cannot comment on tracking performance as I have not done this...

also I used permatex extreme purple stuff for my backing plates / shims and 3M silicone paste for all other metal contact items. amazing stuff.
cleaned and lubed.
zero brake noise so far!

Anyone have any issues with the Textar pads? About to order a set for the front. Seems like no issues so far from those who installed them on this thread.

No issues for daily stop and go driving. They don't have initial bite like the brembos and I wouldn't recommend these at all for track use.

Thanks for the reply. Brembo doesn't actually make the brake pads. I don't think they actually make any of their brake pads (I could be wrong). When I pulled off my post-TSB brake pads, they said Pagid on them.
