Default What to do w/ stock system?

This last weekend me and a friend installed my Joe z exhaust and intake on my F and wow it sounds great. Next on my list is headers my question is: Is it smart to keep my old exhaust to install if i sell the car down the road? And is there even people interested in buying my stock exhaust system?

LOL... same here (in a way)... I still have my stock 1997 Supra Turbo cat-back exhaust system in my basement that is effectively brand new - it was removed at 3K miles and replaced with a TRD stainless steel exhaust...

Hang on to it if you have the space. I'll put my stock exhaust back on if I ever trade in

I always keep mine. Put it back on the car when you trade in or sell.

Some choose to keep those stock parts, while others sell them to lessen the cost of their aftermarket parts. Personally, I chose to keep mine because you never know when you'll need them again, especially considering the smog regulations of your state. It's much easier swapping, knowing you have the parts readily available, than to scour the forum classifieds to buy back the stock exhaust or headers. It can't hurt to keep them, but it can really hurt when you need them to swap in a time crunch.

I'd definitely keep them, unless you urgently need the money (and can even find a buyer). I sold my stock ISF wheels and wish that I'd just kept them. I've kept everything else since then.

I usually try to keep the OEM parts in the boxes that the replacement parts came in. That way it can be put away somewhat in a neat way. Then when I get rid of the car, I can put it back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts in its boxes.
