Default Blacked out headlights installed!

Hey Guys,

So I managed to get my headlights over the pond for blacking out.

You can imagine the funny looks I got from US customs! Lol.

Lights were then shipped via UPS to a guy in Miami. Manuel has been doing headlights for 15yrs, so I knew they were in safe hands.

Here's how they looked when he received them:

Then these were my teaser shots:

This was the final product:

Here's how they used to look on my car:

And here's how they look now:

Have to say a huge thank you to Manuel.

By far the best $150 I've spent!

Hope you guys agree they look amazing!

Peter

I personally didn't want to lose the AFS feature of my 08 lights.

This is a great, cost effective way of getting a more modern look, whilst retaining the AFS functionality.

These are really well sealed mate.

Besides, how likely do you think it is for me to find 2012 headlights in RHD, when there are only 200 IS-F's in the UK?!

Not paying stealer prices for them!

I love how they look personally. The DRL LED strips remind me of what you stick under your kitchen cupboards!

Think you'll find they aren't RHD compatible chap.

You're lights aren't the same as mine.

Manuel did a great job. Remember he's been doing this kind of work 15yrs.

I'm also not a fan of the DRL LED's unless they are the same LED's used in Audi's where its one beam of light instead of a bunch of small ones spread apart so it looks like eyelashes lol.

nice to see another sgm with painted headlight housing, here is mine.

I also added Xpel protection film on the headlights to prevent lens oxidation and rock chips.
