Full Car Length Vs Aston Martin?
Was just getting off work around midnite and get to a red light where there was guy in Aston Martin convertible there. He asks what kind of Lexus I'm in cause it sounds bad *** with the headers and Joe Z. We get off the boulevard and onto a very empty 2 mile bridge and come to a dead stop to have some fun. Long story short we race from a dig and I pull on him from the start and up to 110 I have a full car length on him the whole time. Wondering if the F with mods is that good or is Aston Martin just not really that fast? Not sure what model it was, looked to be a DB9 when I googled it just now. I'm not a street race guy 99% of the time but it was empty road and couldn't resist the challenge. Not many cars like that in my area so prob won't get the chance again.

I'm not sure which Aston Martin you went up against, but when I test drove the Vantage S, it did feel similar in acceleration to my IS F, but without I/H/E. And reading up on the specs, I can see how that made sense. I always wanted to drive one to see if it was feasible to own. Even the sound of the V8 is menacing. It certainly helps that everyone in my family is a fan of the James Bond franchise. It's not one of those brands that needs to be in it for the horsepower war or aftermarket allure. They just make some gorgeous vehicles, and you definitely get a sense of opulence once you sit in one.
The DB9 should have been neck and neck with the IS F with headers. But it must've been thrilling to go up against one.

Nice kill guy! It kind of baffles me that people still gawk over our cars, even supercar owners like the AM owner you encountered. I feel like the ISF has lost its luster but I always catch people staring and admiring it. Truly awesome for a car that has been out for 7 years.

Nice run, I don't know what year the DB9 you ran but I just did a quick google search on their 0-100mph for an Aston Martin DB9 and it seems they're around 10.7-10.8 seconds compared the the IS-F 9.8 seconds.
So looks like even a stock IS-F should be able to pull it no problem. It's crazy to think our comfy 4 door sedans can pull a near $200k V12 Supercar.
