Default Intake vs Exhaust

Gents,

Could use some advice for the following subject. Have had my ISF for over a month now, and love it. The only thing I would like to change is adding some more volume to its sound. I have looked at many clips of the different exhausts and intakes available for this car and am still undecided. I would prefer to stay away from an aftermarket exhaust entirely, but not sure if an intake will produce enough extra sound volume to be satisfied.

A little backstory. I have a Subaru BRZ with an Injen CAI, and I installed an Invidia Catback. The sound was a little too much, so I sold the exhaust. The sound with the intake alone was enough to satisfy me.

In your opinion, do you think an intake alone would be enough to add enough extra volume, or will an exhaust be the only route? Just purchased an aftermarket warranty, so headers at the moment are out of the question. Thanks.

Takeda or injen will be good enough if just for sound. But the exhaust like joez with ppe headers is intoxicating...i wish i have enough dough to get those, but maybe one of this days..gluck..

Before the ISF, I had a 370Z which with an, Injen CAI, Invidia CBE plus test pipes. Very loud. Now Joe-Z + PPE + Takeda is probably about the same in volume but just sounds...better. It seems like my 370 was always loud, but the ISF is pretty mild until I want it to be loud (other than that cold start).

I would say do the intake tube, Joe-Z or HPS as commonly recommended. If you still want more sound afterwards look into exhaust options then.

I too was looking for sound but nothing loud and disturbing. I didn't bother with intake. I did a custom 2.5 true dual x pipe exhaust to the stock mufflers. I removed the secondary cats and resonator. The stock mufflers actually sound good. It is louder then stock and little to no drone from inside the cabin.

Stock exhaust here with a KNN intake on the car. Extremely pleased with all sound / loudness. I may change H/E but not anytime soon.

I ordered the Takeda last night, we'll see how it goes. Almost ordered the Joe z exhaust when I was at work earlier. I have issues with impulse buying.

K&n intake. sound wise, it is awesome. juts have to add a little extra weather stripping to make it a true cold air.

Find someone somewhere in ND that has an F with an exhaust system. I heard one with a Joe Z, then a Borla, I was hooked on the sound of the Joe Z from the gate. Love my car even more now, and the few extra ponies didn't hurt either.

lol, this isn't Cali mate. I wish I could, but you are lucky to see a G35 or 370Z in these parts. ND is garbage, don't ever come up here.

Update- I installed the Takeda intake yesterday. Sounds good, but nowhere near what I was looking for so I went on Trademotion.com and ordered the Joe Z exhaust yesterday as well. Anyone have any experience with this company

Curious to how much you paid, never heard of them. Either way you'll love the Joe-Z
