Default sell car with or without nitrous and mods?

To all the guys over the years that have sold their ISF's. Have you sold it with the NOS systems and other mods? Or are you taking the car back to stock and parting out aftermarket parts?

I don't have an F...actively looking. But I used to have a Z. I had Stance coilovers, Wilwood BBK, Greddy Ti exhaust, Hotchkis sways, Pioneer Double Din, Kicker Sub, and most of all Volk TE37's in bronze wrapped with Dunlop Star Spec Z1's.

My point of listing all those mods is this, add that up and think about what I could have sold all those for in the used market. Now think about how much those made a different when I went to trade it in, mods or no mods. Honestly I only see mods as hurting you, the seller. Like a dumbass I didn't want to waste the time taking it all back to stock and just got rid of it as is. I still regret that decision.

Put it back to stock before you get rid of it. Profit from selling your mods separately. Also, as a buyer, mods, especially N20 would scare me away from any car, b/c I don't know you, the car's history, if it was properly installed, or how hard the car was beat on.

Put the car back to stock and sell it, you'll get the most money out of it unless you can find someone thats willing to pay a very good amount for the car with the mods.

Mods invariably reduce the value of the car to the average buyer. If you want to get paid for the things you did to permit abusing the car at a faster rate, you'll need to find an enthusiast who prefers not to get the mods done him/herself. Best of luck finding this person, you'll need it.

no one is going to choose an ISF that has nitrous installed as their first pick . not only average buyers, but even enthusiasts will be turned away from that.

I'm interested in some mods if you do sell and part out!

Certain mods I'd leave on, but Nitrous is NOT one of them. Most people look at that and think it's abused.

The only mods I would leave on a car are wheels & brakes, and only if the wheels aren't super flashy or of a very specific taste (i.e. custom colored). But if you still have the stock wheels it would make more sense to put them back on and sell the aftermarket wheels separately. As for mods which increase performance, to most people that will indicate that you're someone who likes to push their car to the limits. And there's nothing wrong with that but it will scare away half (or more) of the buyers right off the bat. And mods that alter the physical appearance will also turn away a lot of buyers who probably don't have the same taste as you, or who just prefer their car to look OEM.

If you have the factory parts your aftermarket stuff is just more money sold separately. Unless the mod list is done correctly and big bucks no one pays more for the car. Only kits I see holding value added to cars are things like Alpha, Switzer P kits, Hennessy Ect...

All you are going to do with all the mods on the car is simply advertise that the car has been changed from what Lexus recommends and announce that you used to beat the **** out of the car on the regular. Any signs of NOS will be a deal breaker for 99.999% of buyers
