They look good man. Your headers from Japan came faster than my headers from Arizona (PPE)! I believe we ordered them around the same time. Something about fabricator turnover at PPE, so it's taking extra time to be made.

Sounds about right, the demand for ppe is a lot higher. Nice purchase!

Thanks. You in SoCal or NorCal? If so, which shop are you taking to get your headers installed?

Im in norcal. most likely going to sonic ms. i also heard speed element is legit. I have a dilemma tho, 1 being that I'm in the middle of wedding planning, and 2 my smog check is due next april.

I'd recommend Sonic MS

I can't wait to hear more about those headers once you get them in!

Forgive me for a possibly stupid question, but how do these manage to bolt up to the factory studs? The flanges on each primary are all at different angles.

The primaries can be detached from the collector allowing you to position them correctly.

Now lets take a closer look. I may be wrong but it does not seem back purging was used.

Disassembled

close up of some welds

Some areas were polished and some as you can see are not

Welds on the collectors

Inside of the collector

Each primary is stamped with the cylinder number

visually the flanges look square and free of any lifted areas.

some internal areas I've noticed have ridges where the joints meat.

penetration in some areas vary

Feel free to ask any questions. There is a lot engineering behind these bad boys, but what matters the most to me is quality. I will be going more in depth with the manifolds having a few of my welding colleagues take a gander. For some like myself it is a big purchased for others its chump change, but the idea is to give insight for those looking to buy.
