reading this leaves a smile on my face, the F is such a great car, glad to know there's real facts...i guess in that case we also could take on audi r8 v8....i will be erasing the 360 and r8 v8 on my wish list

Id love to own a Ferrari one day but the maintenance cost alone drives me away.

From what I hear, all these European exotics cost and arm and a leg to service, not to mention when something breaks, but I guess if you got the $$$$ to buy the car, then you can get it serviced.

I would personally take a Lexus LFA and call it a day.

If I was going the Euro route, than probably a Noble M600 or a Koenixsegg

Was bored so I dug up a clip. Here is a quick vid of a me and a 360 from my last track day. You can hear as soon as we pass the corner to the back straight, his tubi's are screaming full trottle.

"Small cash investment" is a pretty loose term........

I believe that require a twin turbo setup, which is not a small investment.

Default Ferrari's are expensive

Friend of mine has a son that managed a Ferrari dealership. The place was full of them, many were on consignment because the owners had had enough of the required maintenance. Oh and maintenance, people who own these things have a lot of money and are not mechanically inclined.

Pretty cars and very sexy, but what POS's. A swear they reminded me of an upgraded Fiat. They rode like a go cart, were hard to shift, were not comfortable and I simply could not believe how over rated they were.

I suppose that in the right hands they are fast, but not in my hands. The F is a much better car and few Ferrari's are faster.

Loren

Even if I had the money to buy a Ferrari I wouldn't. Just a status symbol IMO, I'd rather fly a little lower under the radar.

Pretty sure the F is faster than the 360 in a straight line...not sure about how they handle on a track though the 360 is a lot lighter

Ferrari maintenance and reliability nightmares have been drastically reduced since the f430, 575m and obviously the other models that followed were released in the mid 2000's.

Much like some of the higher end bikes used to be. Ducati used to be a nightmare cost hog. Now, not so much.

360 is a joke. I saw a few yesterday at Festival of speed and told my father in law " I could kill that pretty little thing in a drag race".

Not sure about the 360 (though I think it would be similar) but my F355 ran 12.6 @114. First pass I made in the car.

Stock other than high flow cats and Capristo muffler. They are high strung so needs to be shifted at redline to get the most out of it. (I shift at 8700, just before the limiter)

All performance/reliability comparisons aside, there's no sweeter sound than a high revving Ferrari N.A. V8 (or bigger) engine.
