Default PPE headers with Meisterschaft exhaust installed

It's so freaking loud! I love the sound. But it gets ungodly raspy when you accelerate. Even in normal city driving. Is there any way to get rid of the raspyness? I'm not running the Meisterschaft mid pipe. I got a straight 3" mid pipe from car treats. Would installing a resonator on the mid pipe get rid of the raspyness and keep the sound? I was thinking of 1 resonator per bank. Help please! Lol. It's my daily too. So it has to be somewhat practical.

I don't think you can get rid of the raspiness. I love it. I have full Meistershaft and Sikky. The sound is just amazing. I may be biased. Then again, other owners said that mine sounds better than their combos

Put cats in it....it will tone down the raspiness....probably would defeat the purpose of your exhaust mods though.

lets get some sound clips so we can help you out . When I was at JE imports getting my sikky headers installed one of the guys was saying he had same setup as you and he got resonators welded in to get rid of some of the rasp. Worst case scenario you could sell the Meistercraft and get the Joe Z PTS…. Joe Z + Sikky (or PPE) is just incredible. Some people also get Hi-Flow cats to tone down some of the rasp but they are controversial due to several cat failures when ripping hard...none have been reported with magnaflow hi-flow cats though.

I have this setup (Joe Z+Sikky) and it is my daily driver, it's super loud but the sound falls off when you are cruising, then when you feather the throttle you have this amazing bellow.

On this video, it sounds good. Haha. But it's just so loud and raspy in city driving.

damn, that's loud. my straight pipe set up is probably the loudest i could handle on the daily. i think installing some resonators would ease up the rasp a bit bc when i had my borla, removing the resonator produced some rasp at the upper rev range.

Yeah. it's too loud for my taste. I'm on the fence right now about selling the midpipe with the Meisterschaft axle back. With the stock exhaust manifold, it sounds AMAZING, perfect combination if you ask me. but with the PPE headers, way too loud. I'm considering the PPE dual mode exhaust system. What do you guys think of that one? There's not a lot of videos on youtube of that setup. I did read the MASSIVE thread about it. But i wanna hear it..

WAY too loud in my opinion as well. Makes the car seem .....dare I say ....Ricey. ( I mean that in a sense that the car is much louder than the power output clearly shows). Would be fun for an hour and then its would get a little obnoxious

I'm not sure if I could live with that every day. Having said that though I love the sound! It sounds very mean!
