Default Alcantara seats in the summer

I'm thinking about getting an ISF and was disappointed to to find out that ventilated seats are not an option. The leather seats in my GS4 can be pretty uncomfortable in the summer, feels like sitting on a hot piece of plastic.

How well do the Alcantara seats stay cool in the summer? How do they compare to the comfort of a ventilated leather seat?

I would also welcome any comments about how these seats are holding up in daily driven cars and how difficult they are to clean.

The closest ISF for sale is around 80 miles from here and it's not one that I would ever buy, so I probably won't get an opportunity to feel these seats for myself until when/if I buy one.

I love the seats in mine. Even parked in the sun the black suede doesn't retain heat like a leather seat. I don't think it will be a big deterrent for you. My wife's RX and my old GS have the ventilated seats, and I rarely use them in all honesty.

I concur. My wife's 3G IS has cooled seats, as well as my company car, and when I get in the F I am not the least bit concerned in regards to the lack of cooled seating.

My car is extremely clean, so keeping up with the seats has not been an issue. Lexol on the leather once in a while to keep it supple.

I love the feeling of alcantara and or cloth seats during the summer time since they get no where as near as hot during the summers and hold you in a lot better. I'd go with them!
