*Warranty. And only if it can be proven that the headers caused whatever the issue is. Good luck with that.

But don't the headers not only make more power but makes the car or engine breath better

It'll change the air:fuel ratio of the car since it can breathe more easily (intake/exhaust help with that). That's been my only concern with adding headers/exhaust is that, but everyone says there is a wide mapping on the ECU which will relearn after a short period of driving.

I believe the only mod that will void your warranty is Nitrous.

The warranty is only voided on a repair if the part added caused the failure directly. Thats the law. There is no mod that will blanket void everything

So what I'm getting from you guys is that if the headers cause harm to somthing then it won't be covered and warrenty will be void on that particular problem but they will have to prove that it was the header that was causing other things to malfunction . Got it just wierd because I work at Audi and we just got letters in from Audi stating anyone with aftermarket parts will fully void warrenty don't know if Lexus corp is similar or the same

Just ask my service manager and he just told me even a intake would void if because I'm changing airflow going in the engine so basicly anything before the cat can void warrenty but catback exhaust is fine . Looking answer from someone that had experience with the dealer on this issue or a tech that works at a Lexus dealer please chime in . Really want to get ppe headers thanks again everyone that's willing to answer and help me out

It's all about getting in good with ur service manager. My Lexus dealer service manager loves doing mods to cars and installed my headers for a great price with a loaner car and warranty is still intact.

I've always done intake/exhaust on my cars and have never had issues with warranty. I've had o2 sensors covered in the past.

Like everyone else said, they'll have to prove your part caused the failure. Audi's policy sounds harsh. Toyota isn't at that level yet and hopefully will never be.

Audi's policy is illegal and they'll end up wasting a lot of money in court if they follow it to conclusion.
