Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R
#16
I have been very impressed the with RE-71R in general for track, strip and warm weather use.
BTW, I just saw that Bridgestone came out with the Potenza S007A. They are supposedly an Extreme Performance Summer tire that slots performance-wise between the RE-71R and the S04. If they have grip anywhere close to the RE-71R with improved tread wear, this could be a winner. This might just fit my needs perfectly for a 3 season, strip and track tire.

I came from 71R to hankook RS 4, finally tried this michelin PS4S and im so impressed! i can really feel the grip differece, i can hardly fishtail my SC ISF . I think ps4s is better than rs4 and the 71R.

While I don't have any experience with the PS4 or RS4, I have plenty with the PSS and RE-71R. The PSS (and I'm sure also the improved PS4) is a fantastic overall tire and likely "better" than an extreme performance summer tire for a wider range of conditions. I'm sure they are not better than the RE-71R for the track though. At the track I felt that the PSS gets overheaded pretty quickly and looses some of the great handling characteristics we've all come to know and love on the road. The RE-71R on the other hand keeps gripping like a champ when hot...you just go through rubber at a high rate. So "better" is all subjective to what conditions you are expecting your tire to perform best in. If I daily drove my ISF, I would likely look into the PS4.
