So I had my Joe Z exhaust installed today. First, the good news: as everyone already knows, sounds amazing! It's perfect! Coudn't be happier with the exhaust itself.
Now, the bad news: the shop that installed it removed the little shrouds around the O2 sensors. I didn't even realize until I got home and was looking at some pics I took after the install. This is why I always try to do the work myself, but the OEM exhaust bolts were too rusted on (it took the shop about 2 hours to remove the OEM exhaust).
So now my question: Should I replace the O2 sensors now? Or wait until I get a CEL? How difficult are they to install, where does the connector plug in?

My shop removed them, I had no problems without them.. I'm assuming you're talking about the heat shields covering the o2 sensor?

I have a Joe Z exhaust as well, going on more than 2 and a half years having it and I never get tired of the sound. Glad you're liking it too!

As the other guy mention you should be ok. Mine were removed as well and no issues have come up, and I daily my F.

My car came with a Joe-Z exhaust installed and those shields were cut on the bottom to remove the sensors I guess?

I found out after we got some rain and a CEL came up. I can't recall the code it threw but it went a way after a day. Next time it rained, same thing and so on. I was looking around and that is when I noticed the shields were cut. I wrapped the immediate area where the sensor wires exit the sensor and the CEL never came back.

I ended up replacing my downstream O2 sensors since the passenger side refused to budge no matter what I tried on it. The plugs are behind the carpet on either side of the transmission tunnel right by your calves. If you do a search in the ISF section for O2 sensor, you should come across a thread that has a picture of this.

My front flange bolts we're rusted beyond saving as well. Had to cut two of them off which took me a good 4 hours since the car was on jack stands. Had to get creative on the one since there was almost no room to fit any cutting tools in.

Thanks for the feedback guys, makes me feel better about the whole situation. I downloaded how to remove/install the O2 sensors from the Toyota TIS site, the process doesn't seem too difficult. I'll probably wait until if/when I get a CEL and then swap them. They're not too badly priced, $108 on Autozone, and then obviously I would have to buy a shorter O2 sensor socket as well.
