Got the moroso kit today and installed it! I was surprised at how much oil was in the end of the 1" fitting when i started.

I like it, but still think RR Racing is a cleaner look. Just my opinion.

Great company though!

Just threw together what was in the box, I ordered some fittings from summit that will make it look better. I like the mount more than rr's

Greetings, we recently revised our AOS kit. The bracket has been redesigned to fit both ISF and RCF. Also, new version has about 3x the capacity of the old version, and an easier to read level indicator that has a nice orange ball that clearly shows the oil level. New AOS also has a nice metal sponge filter that is super easy to maintain.

You don't think that come type "filter" will clog?

No way it will clog, because we are not using it as a particulate filter, just oil. It is possible after a year or so it may get some visible sludge on it, but all you have to do is spray it down with carb or brake cleaner and you are done.

The new can is really nice. The fins above the filter create a venturi swirling effect for the incoming air, spraying it against the walls, and the lower cup keeps the oil from getting churned up during cornering. The metal sponge filter is just for the really fine mist that is left over. I've run this at the track, it actually catches slightly more oil than the original setup, and I only have to empty it once at the end of the track day. Only downside is that with the old setup you could remove the canister by hand, and with the new setup you need to unscrew the two top screws and remove the canister in order to empty it. But with our quick push connect fittings, its actually really easy to remove the lines to service the AOS.

Your setup will work, but I personally don't like the hassle of dealing with that wire mesh Moroso sticks into their AOS. Compared to just spraying down a sponge metal filter with carb cleaner, the mesh makes a bit of a mess.to clean.

Got an email from Simon that I'll be receiving the new one when I ordered my AOS and USRS earlier this week.

Well this sucks, Wish I knew you guys were making a revised one cause I would have waited for it. I only had mine for like a month.

although the only thing I really want out of the new setup is the orange ball indicator

^ Agree with what you say, I too recently purchased the RR catch can and would have waited if I knew there would be a revised one.

Question for Rafi.

Can those of us who already bought the smaller separator without the orange ball indicator, just buy that part and replace our existing one?

Doesn't look like much else has changed including the bracket?

Just a thought.

Cheers.

I am *really* sorry, it was actually not our intent to do a redesign, but in addition to the need to make one common AOS for the RCF and ISF, our supplier for the previous AOS canister discontinued the part number entirely, and we could not source it anymore, so we had to change to a new canister, in addition to the bracket.

But, the ver 1 AOS is really good, and nothing to be upset about. It does what its supposed to do, and is very effective at keeping the intake clean.

Any way to retrofit to the v2 product? Or do I have to order another kit?

No real way to retrofit because the mounting is a bit different and brackets are different. Like I said, the components on the ver1 kit were discontinued, and we certainly did not plan on it.

The ver1 still works really well, there really is no reason to change over unless you feel you are having to empty the ver1 AOS too often.

I agree street.

I wish I would have known as mine is about a month old. All good. Still works the same.
