Default ISF vs. M5

I bought a new 2008 ISF back in the day and acquired a 2009 M5 with 6,000 miles late last year. The M5 has always been my dream car and when one came available (black on black) I was stoked. My ISF has headers, exhaust and throttle control which absolutely changed the car from a Lexus to a contender, consider the mods with the following comparison. I enjoy my M5 a lot, it is my out of town car- drives great at 180, corners well, solid, roomy (being from Vegas I can fit 4 bodies in the trunk)... I can go on about all the positives. However, the F is faster with the mods, better ergonomics, and has fewer repair issues. It feels like a go cart- It pulls the 5 until it hits the limiter. As there were only 500 or so produced each year, it sits in my garage waiting for my son. I cherish the days I take it out to keep things running smooth.

E60 M5, the holy grail of engine notes. Also repairs lol, serious hope you have a warranty

On topic though, no matter how much better the ISF is, you can't beat the sound out of that V10

Awesome!

Not sure i'd let my son have an IS-F for a first car though....I drove wreckless as hell when I first got my license.

That's probably craziest sound I've ever heard. It sounds like 2 different cars at the same time. And that "2nd car" sounds like a damn airplane!

Don't know how old your son is, but bad idea to get your son a nearly 500HP car as one of his first cars. I'm assuming the fact that it's waiting for him, he is about to get his license. Nearly every kid in my HS that had cars handed to them always got in trouble. Make him earn it and purchase one on his own so he knows that life is precious and that you must earn things in life, not have them handed to you.

Nothing like saving a nice vehicle for your child to wreck haha. RIP ISF.

Agree with the above. I'm a much better person for working my *** off in the summer to buy my own first car. A high mileage Acura Integra, but was mine and I earned it. Felt good.

I wanted an Integra soooooo badly but all i could afford was a 1986 VW Golf. Loved it like it was a Ferrari, though

Aww......memories, my first car was a 1973 Oldsmobile Omega. Thank goodness I had that car when I was 16. I eventually got into an accident and was ok (no airbags, curtains, and no seatbelt if I remember correctly lol).

Just glad I didn't grow up in Cali where every parent buys their spoiled kid a brand new car. Can't imagine how ****ty I would feel having worked multiple jobs to buy my 5k Honda and some 16 year old in a brand new M series parks next to me lol.

I never thought the ISF was faster than the E60 M5. Anyways, I totaled my first car in less than a year. So sad.
