GT3 isn't that fast on the straight, the car is a best in corners, I would pass GT3's in my Evo on the straight. If it was GT2 then it's a totally different ball game.

Torque and displacement. You can only do so much with a small flat six on the very high end. Also think the 8 speeds tranny helps keep that big 5L on boil

Doesn't look like the GT3 loses steam up to 120mph according to these tests.. and that was with a stock GT3 as well. And since we all agree the GT3 will wipe the ISF in the corners due to curb weight and weight distribution difference.. it doesnt look like the ISF stands a chance if both drivers are equal on the same track.

GT3 RS 4.0 1:52.75 on the track

Lexus ISF lap time by Lexus: 2:034
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...s-here-12.html

C/D 997.2 GT3 TEST RESULTS:

Zero to 60 mph: 3.7 sec
Standing ĵ-mile: 11.8 sec @ 120 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 193 mph

C/D ISF TEST RESULTS:

Zero to 60 mph: 4.2 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 9.8 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 24.7 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 4.6 sec
Standing ĵ-mile: 12.7 sec @ 114 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 172 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 159 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.92 g

Motortrend reports the GT3 is 0-100mph faster than the ISF by almost one second and runs a slower 1/4 mile time than C&D yet still faster than the ISF @ 12.2 vs 12.7

So how fast is it? Porsche claims the GT3 will hit a top speed of 193 mph. During the press drive in Southern Germany, we easily saw in excess of 165 mph on a lightly crowded stretch of autobahn between Stuttgart and Munich. We also found the GT3 will nail 60 mph in 4.0 sec, 100 mph in 9.0 sec, and run the quarter mile in 12.2 sec at 116.7 mph.

It's a CCS-R, not one of ours. There's no way in the world an F without aero will pass a GT3 and stay ahead, and he was putting a good push on the Ferrari which also sported aero.

The driver is damn good too.

This is a clear demonstration on how a better driver in an inferior car can take out superior cars.
