Default Wald Diffuser - install

ladies, gents...
I have searched the forum and could not find a concrete answer on this -
do you HAVE to remove the rear bumper to install the Wald diffuser?
My bumper is currently sealed shut via one of the bolts so to pull it off would require some jack hammering to clear out the glue and unscrew - so I was hoping this could be installed without it.

Anyone done without removing? Please let me know as I have a purchase pending now..

Also, I thought Wald was more expensive than Toms for the diffuser, I am seeing different based on the quotes I am getting...

From what I read, it would make your life a lot easier if you just took the bumper off but it can be done with it on. First google search.. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...r-install.html

Taking the bumper off would lead to a better install. Everyone in socal that I know , had their bumper removed when getting the wald installed. It lead to the diffuser being flush with the bumper. No gaps.

Nope...can't be done. You will never reach the reflectors to secure them properly, which is a key structural component to keeping your massive investment on the car...

I did it without removing the rear bumper. Took me about 15min to do, it's a ***** to get the nuts on the reflectors you need an extra set of hands for sure.

My shop guy and I worked on it together and made sure it was level before applying the adhesion. In theory, it can be done without additional aid, but having an extra set of hands and eyes do help tremendously.

When I installed mine, I took the rear bumper off. Its possible not to, but it just makes life easier.

The rear bumper only take a few minutes to remove...why struggle?

ughhhh I cant wait to do mine. Headers first though. I want to do same setup as you. Wald diffuser with that spoiler painted factory. I was going to do carbon but I dont know if it will look right.

Whats best place to get that rear spoiler painted to match or I can get it painted either one.
