I don't understand the hype around the GTR

I dont know what you mean maintenance cost of a ferrari? Have you priced out the cost difference lol. My GTR oil change is $220 vs my friends 08 gallardo cost him $1,200.00
you people are so funny.

yup. you probably don't realize you have to take off the under tray which is held on by many clips and bolts to get to the oil plug which is a pain and easier to do on a lift. If you cant afford a cars maintenance then you shouldn't get that car $220 every 5K miles when I only drive the car that many miles a year isnt a big deal.

Your first sentence said it all because the way you talk, you sound like someone who didn't earn the money to start with or someone who won't keep it very long. As for the GTR, a modified and tuned GTR is the only thing I have ever seen beat a 300hp Kawasaki H2R in the 1/2 mile and best both a Veyron and MP4-12C in the process. I have never seen another "streetable" car to do such a thing. Straight line or track (5th fastest at Nurburgring) it can get the job done. Overhyped? Not by a longshot.

LOL . Still can't get over a oil change on a Nissan is 220.00. I don't care how many clips there are.
They bend you over on that one.

So I've owned an ISF for a couple years, and am running around 550 wheel hp. It's pretty fun to drive with spray. I decided to go buy a 2015 GTR Black Edition and boy am I disappointed. The car is on this pedestal as "Godzilla". It is so amazing, and *****s on the ISF. Not the case. I feel like the stock GTR and my nitrous ISF are really not that far off. I was hoping for a race car that would really do something crazy. My opinion is, don't believe the hype. Speed is relative. I am selling the car after just two months and looking for a classic American muscle car instead. Why spend 90k on a GTR, when you can build a "real" race car for that or even less. Let's hear everyone else's opinions.
Performance letdown aside, I actually think this is a very good looking car. White on the GTR really works for me, and the contrast created with the spoiler/wheels looks great.
My next car is a 1968 Charger, if I can find one that isn't completely price inflated. I sold my 71 Cutlass SX back in 08 and miss the rumble as well.

This thread has gone south secondary to douchery . Objectively , we dont need anyone to tell us that the GTR is not fast because we already know its one of the fastest cars on the planet out of the box. Never heard of anyone trading Godzilla in for a classic American car to get better performance. Its like saying I want to mary a crack ***** and doll her up because my supermodel wife is overhyped . No.... She is fine as hell. You need some glasses . LOL

My brother-in-law is currently resto-modding a 73 Camaro RS/Z28 because he feels as you do. Heck, that is why I bought the ISF for the V8 rumble. Good luck with your search for car Nirvana.
(BTW - Yeah, stock market is great. I bought 20000 shares of American Eagle (AEO) in 1997 just after getting out of the Army. Probably nothing compared to the Valley in the same time frame, but it did okay)

You are a douche. Why not get a BMW? I have come across many in their forums with similar personalities, you would be right at home.
Cheers Mate
