I'm not really a fan of the gtr, but I do understand the hype. I mean what car does 0-60 in 2.7 secs, 10s in the 1/4 mile completely stock with full interior and with street legal tires, having only 550bhp, all for less than 90k?

The numbers Nissan claim are a little over exaggerated in my opinion but still the car is fun and fast. Just like the ISF. I loved tracking the F and I like the GTR too both for different reasons.

Reality a stock GTR will run mid 11's on a drag strip with a normal non professional driver and street tires.

My GTR with all the mods will run around 10.7 consistently which isn't anything to be sad about.

As enthusiasts we all identify with our vehicles. Therefore people get defensive and offended when bad things are said. It will still not change the fact that the OP hates his GTR. Key word id HIS. Lets just agree to disagree and axe this thread

I'm one of the few people that have been in a GTR on an actual road course in an advanced open passing group. And I tell you what. The guy and i were having a casual conversation in the car while he battled an e90 M3 on slicks. Basically the car drove itself. Not much effort to drive it fast.

With that being said I'll take a GT4, GT3, GT3RS, GT2 over a GT-R any day. And this is coming from one of the biggest GT-R fanboi's on the planet.

Grain of salt: I've had little seat time in the GT-R, most of which was on a deserted straight. A gentlemen about two years ago traded in a modded 2013 GT-R with a claimed 600whp for a LS460 F-Sport. The performance or rather the acceleration is mind boggling. An amazingly capable supercar that can slay the best. As for the looks, I've never warmed up to the GT-R. Sort of ugly IMHO and for the price the Altima window switches drive me insane. Luckily the upcoming new generation is rumored to be more exotic looking which should give it the sex appeal it needs both to go hand in hand with it's 'Godzilla performance' and six figure price tag.

GT-R< IS-F. Anyday. Unless you're a complete fanboy with too much money?

The purity and track focus of the Porsche GT lineup is unmatched. So focused. More so that even many Ferraris.

Though this has come back on topic and to a civil discussion again, it has definitely run its course.
