Default O2 simulators

What are these intended for? Are they for people that have to smog and want to have headers with no cats? Hence why they dont activate cel codes. New to 02 simulators thanks for the info. And do they come with headers or do you have to purchase separate?thanks

They are to prevent the CEL from lighting up with after market headers. They come with the after market headers.

Do a Google Search:

Yes, they come with both PPE and Sikky Headers, though AFAIK the PPE one is better.

I have a sikky sim and de-catted the OEM manifolds and do not have a CEL. It was simple to wire in under the hood as well.

Was there any difference in power decatting stock headers? Not a bad idea to save some change and possibly get the same performance.

To me, there is a definitely a difference. I de-catted all my cats and I am using PPE 02 conditioner. I'm not sure if it's better then headers but it's a cheap mod to do with good results.

It seemed to pick up some power, I don't have dyno or track times to back it up though. So under $100 even if it makes 1/2 as much power as headers I will take it.

There was a thread about a header, exhaust ISF and a de-catted, exhaust ISF racing and apparently the race was too close to call.

Yup you'll pass emissions testing in Vegas as long as you don't have a CEL. But there are some smog testing spots that will actually look under your car to see if you've removed the cats & fail you if they're not in place. Just be careful.

If you gut the OEM cats it will pass any visual inspections since the internals is the only part that gets modified
