Starfire Pearl owners, Chrome grill delete on grill?
Still undecided on what it would look like to chrome delete the grill on this car. Any Starfire owners with good pics? I ended up doing the doors and I think it came out pretty good.

So I own a SFP as well and thought about this as I was considering a body color or blacked out grille. I think it looks WORSE with black trim; I put on my standard slimline black plate frames a few weeks ago and it was just astounding how much they stood out on the white trunk. Black on white contrasts too much - the chrome/silver actually melds in nicely, in a subtle way. Not like having chrome on a blue, red, or black car.
Doors/window trim don't look bad actually! Grille though I think will look cheap when blacked out.

I know this is for white owners but I have the Ultrasonic blue ISF. I am using anthracite grey from dipyourcar.com on the all emblems, grill and chrome on the doors. So far the emblems look cool.

I actually prefer the chrome accents on my SFP F over the stormtrooper look. I dunno, to me it just not look right on a Lexus. I went the stormtrooper route on my Alpine White BMW 335 and it looked right on that car.
I did however, have my roof done in black.

help define the lines and design language of the car . And it works well. Some companies have gone to black trim but it's only from pressure from market trends plus its cheaper to make it black than apply chrome . Black trim looks cheap and kind of trendy to me . Like color matched wheels, it won't last lol

Yes AND chrome looks better on all colors IMHO . Don't like the blacked out anything personally . The styling people and engineers who design them add these elements to

Poster Lmood is doing it right for going with black trim though - A black plate surround and hi-temp black painted exhaust tips would complete the look on his vehicle's rear end. Blacked out badges and black wheels add a theme to the car, whereas with the stock chrome badges and anthracite wheels the black window trim would just make the side of the car look slabby IMO.

Here is my grill. I blacked out the Lexus emblems. Looks good and doesn't seem so chrome like. My chrome is also dark, its night that bright chrome like wheels. Not sure if all F's have that. See pic below
I want to do a carbon grill below with a black mesh backing, then put a small f symbol to the right side. Pic below of carbon grill and not sure but one of the members did with the white/mesh grill and f symbol. I like both but want to go carbon route. Just cant find any without spending $500. I will lay my own carbon for that much.
Hope this helps
