I'm just curious to see what other members are doing (if anything) to reduce the weight of there F.
I haven't done anything yet, just wanting to get some ideas.

The only thing I did was remove the front engine covers and the owner's manual.

Engine covers and the rear headrests but that was more for better rear field of view

Quite a few members have taken their spare tire and jack out along with the rear seats. That would probably net you the most weight loss.

Ha,ha. I'm only 180, but I guess there is always room for improvement.

Engine covers, spare, spare tool, aftermarket racing seats, 2 piece rotors, forged wheels, shaving/removal of bumper crash bars, CF drive shaft, aftermarket exhaust (Ti or one w/o cats), coilovers upgrade, lightweight battery.

These are the only methods of weight reduction I can think of that won't impact luxury. You can go farther with taking out door panels (replacing them with CF boards or whatnot), plastic windows, rear seating removal (and maybe weld in a cage)...

Put my spare tire back before we went on a road trip from ri to obx. On the way back got a flat tire with over 400 miles to go....was a nervous ride back to ri but il never take my spare out again.

There is a couple weight loss threads, the cf driveshaft is only a few lbs difference I've had the two in existence for the f. I usually weigh in at 3600 flat on race days but I'll likely be a couple lbs under with the latest mods. As of now I have the Braille 21lb battery (saved about 20 lbs), removed spare/jack and tool kit, MOMO drifter wheel with works bell paddle shift Neo (stock wheel was a few lbs more due to airbag), removed a few of the under fairings (with custom aluminum subframe braces they don't have mounting tabs), Volk wheels, jic coilovers, figs arms n links (race arms are lighter than the stock but likely gained back when I put on the links), rb 2 piece rotors on all 4 corners, a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head. My next is a set of seats, I have the brackets for the install but want to get a set hat will look better than my grey/blk corbeau's

RB/FIGS 2 piece rotors, OHLINS coilovers, aftermarket 3 piece wheels using titanium bolts, Icode titanium exhaust.
Titanium lug nuts next

Driver weight reduction. I've lost 28 lbs since October! Eating healthier and walking stairs every day. Cost nothing but discipline and a bit of time.

Youll shave a lot by pulling out the heavy front seats. The driver seat alone is over 50lbs. A good race seat is ~15lbs. But most Lexus owners rarely want to give that up.

Did you find a work around for the airbag light and etc.? I want to change seats but don't want a work around solution gets rid of the light, but would still disable the rest of the car's airbags from deploying.

Just add the 2.2k resistor and everything should be "normal" as for completely disabling the airbags you'd have to add resistors in every plug for one of the sensors and airbags
