School Me on Bluetooth Audio
Normally I use my iPod with my 2012 IS-F, but lately I've been experimenting with the Bluetooth audio link to my Galaxy Note 3. My goal is to be able to run Waze and have the "Police reported ahead" warnings come through the car's audio system and temporarily override the music so I don't miss the announcements.
I have the same .MP3 files on both my phone and my iPod, and they definitely sound better on the ipod - the BT audio seems weak and tinny by comparison. This is with the standard Samsung music app that comes with the phone as well as another app that I tried.
In addition, while the iPod shows the song titles briefly on the top of the nav screen when each new song starts, all I see on the BT is a track number which is pretty meaningless. In order to see the song title and artist I have to hit the Audio button and switch to that screen.
Finally, what's the best way to create and manage playlists on the Note 3? ATM it's just playing all of my .MP3 files in alphabetical order. That **** needs to stop.

from my understanding, bluetooth includes the full frequency and the SQ should be just as good through an AUX input as bluetooth. i use spotify on "extreme" quality, which is basically 320 kbps quality mp3s.

In my 2011 F that's exactly what I do with the Bluetooth settings. I run my music and waze app to hear the announcements. It does exactly what you described. As far as the sound sounding tinny via Bluetooth...the best advice is the sound coming out is only going to be good as the source.
