So lexus will end the 5.0 V8 engine.....

Good, my car just became more desirable and I will not get rid of it.
I hope they use a good source for the turbochargers and engineer a decent engine. Turbocharging isn't new to Toyota, however certain parameters have to be addressed such as heat and back-pressure.
Most likely an all aluminum block (better heat dissipation) , I hope they come up with at least 450 bhp if not more in case the car weighs like a pig.

This is good news to me. Makes our ISF all the more exclusive, which makes it more desirable and stands out over all other Lexus/Toyota models. Happy they aren't making anymore. One thing I just love about my ISF, that V8 sound and grumble. Anything 6 cylinder will never top the sound of a 5.0liter V8.
Those who wish or are looking forward to a turbocharged anything Toyota/Lexus, keep dreaming when it comes to tuning. It will never be like the 2JZGTE or 3SGTE. They are all so dam high tech now, and their ECMs are locked up tighter than Fort Knox. But lets just say they were able to tune the ECM...good luck with the entire cost of upgrading. Upgraded turbo parts on the GTR are IMO skyhigh, expect the same with a Lexus. While all other manufactures are turner friendly, Toyota/Lexus has maintained to not be tuner friendly and have become exceedingly more difficult as the years go by. Glad I still have my 21 year old 'low tech' 2JZGTE Supra.

Its a shame but it seems manufacturers are downsizing and adding turbos.
It's easier to make power for sure but nothin beats a high revving V8.
Classic case in point: the M3. Previous generation had NA High Revving V8, new one has Twin Turbo straight six. Sounds completely different, goes like mad.
The ISF will be a future classic for sure, I say!
