Why people driving their nice ride in winter? Can get another cheaper winter beater.

I ran both of my ISF's through several winters on Blizzaks (LM 25 & LM 32) and wasn't overly impressed by either tire on ice or in any sort of deep snow. However that being said, their dry performance wasn't that bad!

This year I went with Nokian Hakkapollitta 8 studded on the RCF and their dry performance is "wobbly" at best, however they hook up in deep snow and Ice like you wouldn't believe.

That looks great Jeff, ya wobbly is a good way of putting it I often say they feel squishy. Mine are skinny and slightly taller so that dosent help either but they are great on ice and snow which is the purpose. It's a bit of getting used to on the dry pavement though.

Why would I want to drive a beater at all... i used to have newer 1/2 ton trucks I drove in the winter but I bought an X5M a few years ago and sold my truck. Then I guess I figured I drove an X5M in the winter and it cost 2x more than the ISF so throw winter tires on and enjoy it all year

Those look awesome. How loud are they on dry roads?

They are pretty loud when driving slow; almost like you are picking up a ton of gravel and flinging it.

Once you're up and moving however they seem to quiet down, nothing I can't handle.

So far I haven't had a chance to really test them on snow or ice, but they definitely don't inspire confidence on dry pavement. I had a couple really really hairy drives with my ISF on "performance winters" through the mountains where I honestly have no clue how I didn't end up in the ditch. Hopefully these tires fix that problem.

Worst case scenario I take out the GLK

I like to keep my ride nice and clean, no rust, snow or salt. RWD is not so great in winter. I also have rims, front lip, side skirt.

I also have rims, side skirts and a lip.... And I am lowered my car has No rust and it's as clean as most cars on here. I get it not everyone likes to winter drive their cars that's fine but they are very capable cars in the winter if you have a good set of tires.

dedicated snow tires are always better than any performance tires, that is why i went with the blizzaks ws80 instead of the LM series. Nice car by the way

your F is very nice, and yes any car is very capable of driving in snow with a good winter set up.
