Question 17s on an ISF???

Can a set of 17s fit and clear our BBK? I'm looking for a good set of light weight rims and came upon these. I figure 18s will be best but I do a lot of drag racing and I'm curious to see if 17s will fit.

Specs:
Varrstoen ES3
17x9
5x114.3 + 22

Any help will really help me out. Thanks guys!

i don't think 17s will fit the front at all. the overall diameter of the brakes are too big for 17s iirc my testing back then

Varrstoens AND 17's?!?!?!

But in all reality Varrstoens are cast from the purest of back alley dog ****. Don't, just don't. Go buy a Subaru or a Honda if you're going to put that fake crap on a car, don't degrade an ISF.

Truthfully, I haven't seen anyone with 17s on an IS F. It would definitely help with tires being more cost effective, but in terms of fitment, I think it would be highly unlikely to see it happen. If some 18s are hard to fit on the F, even with relatively moderate offsets, can't fit, then 17s will be even harder.

I'd say just research 18s and try to look for wheels that are either forged or a strong cast. While I'm not an expert when it comes to Varrstoen wheels, I have seen more of their wheels prematurely fail, and that is something you don't want to have happen to an IS F- or any car for that matter. If it's more of a cost factor, I would look into brands such as OZ Racing, HRE (Flow Formed), Gram Lights (part of RAYS), and Enkei.

Best of luck!

I remember seeing that blue Turbo ISF (CrazyMPG) with some 17's in back only for drag at the early Pursuit event.

You could always downsize your brakes... since with +22 on a 9" front, you're after show, not go.

My 17x9 +37 buddy club p1 clear the front big brakes by like a 1mm . I'm tempted to try them at the track on all 4 corners, I only run them on the rear with drag slicks as there is more clearance back there. I don't want to risk some small rock get jammed between the caliper and cause major damage while tracking.
