im wrapping the front lip with 3m cf they come out with almost the real look-alike- it will be the front lip cf and rear wing. I bought the replica rear wing cf for $150 on ebay and it was horrible, so I just figured wrapping the oem wing cf and this front lip will add the touches of cf I want with the car.
Its either that and spend a few hundred or spend $2000 on the oem cf wing that lexus charges and another $1500 on a cf lip... the easy $3000 I save can go to the house =)
Anyways wanted to keep this quiet, but since all the talk about cf and all figured I shared this. Will post pics of the wraps. Wrapping these items will also be lighter and less time consuming than cf"ing them.

This is not a daily for me and more a weekend. I know the areas and the limit of what the car can handle. I know$1200 is steep but we are also driving a 70k car. I just cant see putting a $150 ebay lip.
Im just not an ebay guy. But to each their own. I dont think the lip looks bad.
Im going to start laying carbon soon. Once I do you can send them to me and I will wrap in real carbon for you.

got that one today! should be here soon...stoked to put it on. i had the nigeljdm lip but after 3 months of waiting i lost interest and sold it...tbh i feel like this lip from eBay looks better and is half the price with no 3 month wait.
vinyl wrapping i don't think is a good idea and i think it makes the lip look even cheaper...if anything get it wet-wrapped in carbon and than it'll look 100% solid and 10x the price. i have a guy in LA that does it for a great great price if anyone is interested they can PM me.

have you seen the 3D vinyl wrap? I had a buddy use it for my mirrors and it looked SO fake i took it off the next day...i wouldn't suggest doing it unless you know its something you want otherwise you're going to regret it. It honestly doesn't give it the CF look...it looks like a wrap and doesn't have that POP that CF has....wet-wrapping is the way to go if your going to do a CF vinyl. I believe the CF inside our car is wet-vinyl?
Are you serious about the so fake stuff, honestly I just got this done today in less than one hour, it looks pretty legit to me.
See the results below:
The only way to tell if its a wrap is if you come real close to it no one really wont notice especially when driving.. I'm happy I wrapped it, it looks good in wrap rather rock the wrap than the plain black lip or the replica rear wing that just tapes on. I wrapped the oem wing in cf it looks darn near close and it'll give it that look until I can find one for a decent price in the used market.
Before I agree they had cf wrap that looks horrible, but recently its getting better and better.
