Just installed mine over the weekend. Perfect fit.

I did scrape it leaving my drive way after installing it though

yeah here are is one shot of it you cant really tell its cf until you get close its a great wrap though still holding strong. I went with the 4hd opposed to 5hd because it looks more like cf. The 5hd I saw looks a lot like the old school cf vinyl in black, this one has better hints of dry carbon look in some angles.

Mind you, vinyl doesn't stick on polyurethane. The lip either needs to be painted first, or covered in 3M vinyl adhesive primer, which more or less makes it irremovable.

Its a tedious process, I'm sure it takes practice and a nice set of materials and tools, but luckily we have a lot of quality vinyl wrappers around the area that got it done for price of the wrap itself.

I think that someone tried wrapping it and it came out bad so he went to a pro to have it done for the same price.

Not trying to be negative but sometimes it's just a wiser investment to have it done professionally..

Do you guys not have places that will skin parts in real carbon fibre?

I have a guy over here in the UK that has done a few bits for me so far (rear centre armrest, door switch control covers), but he's always mad busy!

Had my centre console and a one-off triple gauge pod that replaces the central air vents since around October 2015!

The finish is really top notch though, and replicates the process for most carbon parts on the market today (very few parts are 100% carbon unless you are paying a real premium for them).

I would have thought there would be a more plentiful supply of companies and individuals that could offer this to you guys?!

Be curious to know how much difference there would be between professionally vinyl wrapping these parts, and having a proper skin of real carbon applied.

I wll be doing some carbon work to my is300 first before I touch the F so I can get the process down. Very labor intensive due to a ston of sanding. Once I get it right I will be helping others carbon their parts for a minimal cost. Way cheaper then buying them from LEMS.

Stay tuned. I guess I will most likely need to be a vendor.

Will keep everyone posted.

I found a guy here that cover and create pieces in carbon. I'm in the process of wrapping with real carbon fiber the fog light covers and the oem rear spoiler. It should take few weeks because he only do this on his sparetime two days a week, so as soon as I get them I'll post some pictures.
