The inner lip comes within a hair of the upper control arm. BTW, the IS line does not have struts, we have shocks.

from The pictures it looks like the tires are the stock rcf tires so I also wanted to know if those tires would work

There was a recent thread where a forum member was able to shave off 5mm from the inside part of the center wheel for both of his RCF rear wheels and they fit fine. I tried searching again for those posts but I fear that they were removed due to people criticizing the integrity of the wheels etc.
I find this to be a better solution for me right now instead of rolling my fenders and would love to hear more about this (hoping this wont start another flame war)

That thread did not get removed (I don’t think), because it did not get aggressive. We just disagreed. I think Lou is the one that shaved them. I’m the one who said it altered the structure of the wheel in a critical area. think about it, your removing a huge percentage of the metal where the wheel connects to the car, being the metal under the lug nuts. The thickness of the metal at the hub is irrelevant. It’s the thickness of the metal directly under the face of the lugs that matters. That’s just my two cents.
I have zero hurt feelings that we disagreed. I just don’t trust it on my car. He feels differently, which is all good.
I like the look, but the offsets are not ideal without modding something.

Of course I disagree with Jw, there is plenty of meat left in the hub, It's thicker than the hub on the front wheels. And in the 3 plus months I since the mod I have not rubbed once
And, remember I am rolled flat and running 295/30s.

Any rubbing at all? 295 is pretty wide.

Can you measure the meat of the rim behind the lug nut holes on the front wheels and the back wheels, and report any differences? Not the hub, but the actual portion of the rim that sits between the lug nut and the hub of the car?

Wow... these wheels fit the 2G IS's styling really well! It looks much more modern with these wheels. I'm sure they will go out of style at some point but right now it looks like it would be at home on Lexus' new car lot.
