^^^^Agreed! In the first couple pages I posted somewhere that the RR Racing tune will eventually take over this thread, talk about a derail!
Unless the mods change the title I guess it'll be Vivid/RR Racing tuning lol.......

This tune will be the best thing $250 can buy!!!
Ooops, did I let the price out of the bag?
Nope. I'm just wishful thinking right now. But in all seriousness it wont matter, because I have will have the 1.5 billion dollar winning Powerball ticket!

Guys, we will be releasing a tune very shortly... a real reflash. It is very time consuming to do it right on an ISF, its not just slapping the car on a dyno and making some tuning changes with ignition timing and fueling and showing a before/after dyno plot. We have been working on ECU development for nearly 5 months.... This means not only learning how to read and write to the Lexus ECU, but developing our understanding of the ECU and how it functions, understanding long term knock correction over a wide temperature range. Understanding the impact of modifications such as exhaust/headers/decat/intakes.
We will only release a tune once we are fully confidant we got it right. Vivid Racing already takes $800 from folks for a nonsense module that plugs into the OBD port -- a complete piece of you know what

Right, I think the most beneficial thing with being able to adjust the maps is tuning for forced induction. Are there any pistons and rods available for our engines yet? This will probably open up an opportunity for those manufacturers also. I know I'm interested in it once we see the results and capabilities of decrypting the ECU.

You didn't make it clear that was your end goal with the other mods included.
I'd say just the map will make maybe 10HP? The real gain will be torque and the ability to extend the rev range, de-limit top speed etc.

The combination of this with the RR SC kit, cams, headers, good exhaust, that will be a great combo!

I know these are different platforms but OE Tuning pulls over 60whp peak out of the 6.2 Liter NA V8 from the C63 AMG. Then again tunes for the 4.0 Liter NA V8 M3 gains only about 5-10whp, so I expect Lexus left some room on the table to extract decent power gains from a 5.0 Liter V8 with "only" 417HP from the factory. Hopefully we should be somewhere in between.
What I'm really interested in are power gains throughout the powerband, again I bring up my Hondata RSX-S which didn't gain a whole lot of "peak" power but picked up power everywhere in the powerband, combined with a lower VTEC point and higher redline, it made the car so much more fun to drive.
I can probably see 10-15whp peak gains, and maybe up to 20-30whp gains at some points in the powerband for the ISF tune. Combine that with a 7200+ RPM rev limiter, removed speed governor (so we can properly dyno our car in 6th 1:1 gear) and improved throttle response, I'll be one happy camper!

If thats what you mean then yes i wouldn't see why that could happen.
Also headers are kind of a waste. Gutted stock headers do the same and its been proven. Look on the RR Racing site. The specs on their race car has stock gutted

Are you saying all together 30whp from stock?
