Default Might be a new owner of a 2008 ISF

I might be trading in my 2008 Toyota 4Runner Sport with 86k miles and I'm the 2nd owner for a 2008 Lexus IS-F with 90k miles.

While I have read many owners have that same or more miles, it's been reliable. I'm some what concern of this amount of miles but given the fact that I did own a 2006 Lexus is250 and never had any issues, I would assume the same with the ISF.

The other things that I feel might be a negative is I will be the 4th owner even though the history of the car has been serviced at Lexus.

This car was originally in NY then moved to UT then made its way to OR.

Here is the car:

What are your thoughts on this?

There might be some room for pricing, the kind of performance you get for 25k is unreal

Dont think you will run into anything for the IS-F..pretty bulletproof

It all depends if you intend to keep it a long time...if you are just keeping it for a few years maybe get a lower mileage one for better resale.

I really dont feel for the wheels tho, I think they gotta go. The design makes it look small. The blue is gorgeous

I totally agree. $25k for a 400hp 4 door saloon is great. Insurance is slightly higher than my 4runner but definitely cheaper than a 2006 Evo.

I love Toyota. Might miss my 4runner since I go to the beach and do some camping with it, but I can buy a 3rd gen for a few thousand at a later time.

Yikes, first thing to do is ditch those Infiniti G35 wheels. People slap anything on their cars when they trade them in.

Definitely not getting rid of those since they would make great wheels for winter.

But do plan to replace the wheels and repaint the calipers.

Good deal. My 08 USB F from the original owner with 73k miles was $26.5k

And for insurance, it depends who you have. My F is cheaper than all of my subarus, including the 04 WRX wagon. Full coverage on the F is $85/month for me and I'm 22. Wagon was $110, STI was $150, 02 I can't remember.

Looks pretty good, but seeing as you are in WA., have you considered importing one from BC, or anywhere in Canada? For example here in Ontario you can get a similar one for under 30K, which is roughly 21K US$, so you might be able to save some money even after the importing fees...just something to consider perhaps, since our $ value is so crap you guys can buy our cars cheaper lol

You can use this as an example:

yeah I thought about that option too but with BC they salt their roads and most cars have rust. I bought a few AE86 in BC and they were rusty compared to what WA had.

For Ontario, by the time I calculate the cost to fly there, import fees and duty plus gas and time, I'm already at $25k.

Definitely have to check out this ISF and test drive it before I make a firm decision. Been reading people's comments on reliability today and so far a lot of positives. If I get this, no need for a supra lol

Today I took ownership

Traded my 2008 4runner and drove this car home today. Smiling like the Joker all the way home.

There are some small things that needs attention but nothing too serious.

While I was at the dealership, they were trying to sell me $5k aftermarket warranty and kept pushing.

Congrats!

Looks good to me.

Out of interest, what's the button on the left of the headlight washer button?

Not seen anything like that before? We certainly don't have that on UK models? Looks like a **** you can turn to adjust something?! Only ask as that's where I fitted my Apexi throttle controller.

Good time to buy with all the tuning potential RR-Racing are doing for the F.

Enjoy your new ride. Think you'll be very pleased with it.

Just seen the aftermarket intake.

Nice bonus if it doesn't suffer too much heat soak?

I'd colour code that silver engine cover if it was me. That would look awesome in there with the blue intake pipe.

The car had a stereo system so I believe this was an bass adjuster of sorts.

Yes, will definitely change it and probably ceramic coat the piping if not I might buy a titanium one that I saw somebody made.

Got you on the extra **** question.

The titanium intake you mentioned is from Rafi at RR-Racing. I've got mine sitting in my garage ready to install.

Looked like you may also need to source the stock airbox as well? Doubt the previous owner was kind enough to put it in the car for you when he sold it or traded it in?!

You sometimes see them in the parts section, but not that often. Main stealers charge a fortune for new ones!

Hope you find what you need mate.
