Default New 2010 ISF Owner DC/MD/VA

Team - Wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I have just recently purchased this L-Certified 2010, ISF. It had been sitting for a while so I was able to get a favorable deal - 60k service is done, as well as front and rear brakes.

Only real disappointment is that they tried to charge me $500 for an ISF key card - any better ways to get ahold of one? Anyway, it 's in en route to Northern VA now.

I am a bit of a gear head and previously owned a 2001 BMW M5, 2005 M3, 2004 Evolution, 2005 Lotus Elise, C5 Corvette, and a supercharged S2000 with a few sport bikes mixed in.

I turned 30 recently and seem to have grown to appreciate a more refined driving experience and less maintenance head aches while still being able to enjoy a proper sports car. The IS-F seems to fit that bill well.

Looks like this is an active and enthusiastic community and I'm happy to now be a part of it!

Welcome aboard & congrats.. That was my first color choice, but I decided on a low mileage MM that I picked up in Virginia Beach. I'm in NoVA too (Bristow/Gainesville area). My friend & fellow CL member (thegrunt) also lives in the area.

My baby will be hibernating in the garage till most of this snow is gone.. I'm looking forward to warmer weather & several track days this year.

Welcome! The ISF is definitely a car that provides the performance you want without all the maintenance worries; it's a real work horse.

As for the wallet key.. There's new and used ones you can find online (ebay) for around $200. You'll probably want new if you're bringing it to a Lexus dealer to program. It really seems to be hit or miss if you buy a used card whether or not the dealer can program it. Some members on here were able to have the dealer do it while others have been turned away.

Congrats and welcome! Nice list of car history. My older brother had an E39 M5 and I loved that thing. A shame that he let it go a few years back. It was also an 01, but had only 23k miles on the clock!

On the topic at hand, I purchased the vehicle before I got my F (an IS350) from Sewell and they are as good as it gets. You will not be disappointed - both with Sewell, and your F. Pretty sharp looking F you have there, but then again, so are all of ours!!

Enjoy the ride!
